EVE Asset Manager 1.6.2 Released

Monday, January 11th, 2010

Just a quick note to say a new version is up. It offers improved pricing based on a 30-day aggregate of EVE-Central and EVE Metrics data, an option to choose which region’s prices you see, and some important bug fixes. Grab it at the usual place.

Fixes Are Coming

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

To those of you who have tried 1.6.0, thank you. Also, thank you to that one person who donated motivation isk already! I’m already mostly finished a minor revision that will fix a few problems you all have reported.

  • Loading a saved search sets all boolean operators to “And”
  • Prices (possibly other numbers?) are completely screwy for some localized versions of Windows (e.g. most of Europe)
  • Pricing data is kind of lame in general — I think you will like my second stab at this a lot better

I’ve heard several good ideas for new features, too, and a few other things are knocking around in my head. Please keep the feedback coming by e-mail (wjrogers at gmail).

EVE Asset Manager 1.6.0 Released

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Better late than never, eh?

This is mostly a “fix it up so it works right and it’s easier to update the EVE data dump” release, but there are two important new features. First, it now supports market pricing from EVE Central for all items, not just materials. I’m open to feedback about this feature. I’d definitely like to hear which price you’d prefer to use to price an item (mean, median, sell orders, buy orders, etc.). Second, you can specify an API proxy to make it easier to use this program on multiple computers or alongside other programs that use the assets API.

As always, I hope someone finds this useful, and you can reach me most reliably by e-mail. Get downloading!
